3. How to capitalize on social capital with Amelia Merrick

by | Jul 30, 2020

Amelia Merrick is studying for her PhD at the University of Toronto. In her research, she is looking to answer these big questions: “How do we support young people’s transition into life-giving work?” “How do we learn to think critically about and for our work?” “What is the role of the workplace?” “What is the role of post-secondary institutions?” “What do we do to make it more likely that work enables us to do and be what we have reasons to value?”

In our conversation we discussed how social capital can give you opportunities others may not have access to, how to recognize your privilege, and how to create trust and pass on knowledge in your organization.
